oats galore

Second post, second day… here we go!

If you know me on a personal level, you’ll know I love food. It’s just one of the best things about life really, I get serious cases of being ‘hangry’ too, its a bit ridiculous in all honesty This morning, after my shower, I literally put clean pyjamas on to eat my breakfast in bed and it was honestly one of the best things I did all day. Saying that, I couldn’t really write a post a week on indulgences and not include food!!

Oats. One of the best things in life, in my opinion. Delicious and versatile. Healthy and creamy. Working at coffee shops, there are a lot of early starts which means breakfast can be a bit of an issue, especially when you just don’t want to eat toast every day. So, the over-night-oats hype came and jumped right on that bandwagon. I have a slight issue with lactose too, which I enjoy with this recipe that I follow, there a lot more choices of milks that I would not have tried other wise, and  I’d say… for about the last year this is my most eaten breakfast and I bloody love it!

My all time fav combo for overnights has got to be hazelnut milk and soy vanilla yoghurt! Together they just make the oats so creamy and delicious and basically taste like cake.I also like to add in some milled linseed or chia seeds for extra protein and a bit of a crunch. I literally buy my packs from lidl or aldi and they are so cheap and so delicious and last so long.

I then like to add some fruit, preferably frozen raspberries to get that sweet tooth! I was out last night so had to make do with fresh… ahh the hardship (added a banana too for health).

All these ingredients together, for me, make the perfect, quickest, creamiest breakfast for when I’m at work or even get a morning at home! Price wise, I think I would spend around a fiver for everything (oats, milk, yogurt, seeds and frozen fruit) but then all the ingredients last a week or more, so its so cheap, and delicious (have I said that already?!) If you haven’t tried it already I would thoroughly recommend oats in any form, to anyone, but especially this way… give it a go, you’re life may change for ever! haha!

So, this is my little food indulgence post for the week, hope you’ve enjoyed it

Thanks for popping by, abitofpeace x
