summer wedding

A few days ago I went to my second and (most likely) last wedding of this year. Wow. That sentence has made me very sad. I didn’t realise how much I loved weddings! Myself and my boy went to the reception of a friend of his, it was in the most beautiful garden. It had been decorated with so many fairy lights and hanging decorations, the prosecco was flowing, the weather was amazing…what more could you ask for?! .

I’ve also realised I have become quite a thrifty shopper! I lovedlovedloved my outfit for this wedding reception and it cost me a grand old total of £11!

I got this beautiful satin midi dress from, for less than £8 in a sale, how unreal. It was so comfortable and I felt truly effortlessly chic in it! I have to say though, the slits are slightly high when walking in the wind :/ oops.

The bag I used is a beautiful black sequinned clutch from new look many moons ago. It reminds me and my friend of a 1920’s flapper girls bag its so shiny! As I knew I’d spend most of the evening outside on grass I thought it was best to wear some chunky healed sandals as opposed to stilettos! The heels I wore I got a fews years back from Australia and the price per wear must be so low now! Im not joking when I say these are the comfiest heels I have ever worn, I can dance for hours in them and not need to take them off. How magic is that. They also look pretty nice too, I think. The brown wooden heel brings a bit of a 70’s vibe to the outfit I think… guess I just mixed a whole bunch of styles. I don’t mind I like it!

I decided to pair my outfit with gold accessories (my fav duh); a whole bunch of layered necklaces, dangly earrings and a chunky watch and I’m good for anything! A classic red on the finger and toe nails I think really finished the look off. Honestly, I don’t think theres much better than a letter-box red nail varnish!

Hope you enjoyed this little outfit post, I’ve really gotten back into style and I’ve got loads of goodies planned for this site so keep your eyes pealed…

Thanks for popping by, abitofpeace x
